Abstract
Earthquakes in various parts of the country are causing damage to fragile buildings and loss of life. Therefore, evaluating building seismic risk before an earthquake occurs is a key step in avoiding building damage and loss of life. The building's seismic stability can be measured using the fragility curve. Fragility curves are used to characterize the likelihood that a specific harm condition will be surpassed. Fragility curves can be developed based on data source and form of analysis from either analytical or empirical methods. This paper focuses on reviewing the development of fragility curve using different method of lateral load resisting system for example shear wall, outrigger system ,bracing ,diagrid etc by analytical method. There are several methods available to build fragility curves based on different assumptions and restrictions, level of detail and type of modes of failure being considered for this paper we have consider Hazuz method for different mid high rise building.
